Three Arkansas State Players Make All-Conference Teams, Including SBC Preseason Player of the Year Kobe Julian
After finishing second in the Sun Belt Tournament and delivering the conference’s best recruiting class in for 2024, Bryan Hodgson’s Red Wolves was picked as the preseason favorite to win the 2024-25 Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball title, according to a vote by the league’s head coaches.
Louisiana transfer forward Kobe Julian was declared the Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year after leading the league in scoring last season with 17.3 points per game. He scored at least 20 points in 11 different games last season, including eight times against conference opponents.
In all, three Red Wolves were selected to the Sun Belt All Conference Teams, with Julian on the First Team, guard Taryn Todd on the second, and forward Izaiyah Nelson. The talent on the roster led to Arkansas State garnering an overwhelming 12 first-place votes to head the Sun Belt, with Troy and James Madison also receiving votes.
