If Bryan Hodgson’s road-heavy schedule for A-State men’s basketball left you feeling lonely for hoops, buck up. A-State head women’s basketball coach Destinee Rogers has dropped an OOC slate within walking distance of J-Town Grill’s patio.
In addition to welcoming Northern Illinois for the first half of the MAC/Sun Belt Challenge, Jonesboro will play host to the school in northwest Arkansas, UAPB, Louisiana Tech, UA Little Rock and UT Martin, among others. In total, the F’N Bank Arena will see four in-state foes, including Hendrix.
Red Wolves Women have revamped the roster, with Wynter Rogers (West Virginia), Kendra Gillispie (Baylor), Bre Sutton (ULM), Cheyenne Forney (Denver) and Emma Imevbore (Lamar) joining the fold. The transfers are expected to add needed firepower to complement Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year Izzy Higginbottom and 2022 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Lauryn Pendleton.
Coach Rogers has certainly liked what she’s seen over the off season:
