By halftime the Red Wolves had a 30 point lead on the strength of 12 field goals, four from the Mayor of Bono Avery Felts, who received the starting nod. Thirteen Red Wolves saw action in the first half including walk on Jacob St. Clair (0/1).

It only got worse for the poor Dragons, who seemed content with watching the Red Wolves attempt a school record for three-pointers. When the buzzer sounded for the last time, Arkansas State had the 43-point victory on 18 three pointers, five of which came courtesy of Avery Felts.

Will Henderson scored a third of the Dragon’s points, bucketing 23 while freshman Justin Johnson led the Red Wolves with 20. Overall, 12 Red Wolves scored points on 49% shooting.

“It’s always great to get a win. Thankful for the crowd with duck season,” said Coach Hodgson with his rambunctious infant son Jet in tow. “Thrilled to see the ball go in.”
