You don’t need me to tell you that college football recruiting has become a yet-perfected formula of high school visits and transfer portal plundering. This particular post from Howlraiser focuses on the highest rated high school recruit for each Sun Belt program in 2024.
Furthermore, I decided to go with the 247Sports COMPOSITE rating, a score that can differ wildly from 247Sports’ own assessments. 247Sports defines “composite” ratings as:
“The 247Sports Composite Rating is a proprietary algorithm that compiles prospect “rankings” and “ratings” listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services. It converts average industry ranks and ratings into a linear composite index capping at 1.0000, which indicates a consensus No. 1 prospect across all services.” [Full disclosure: I am not in any way employed or affiliated with 247Sports.]
Bear in mind that there are still athletes listed as signed players who have yet to be granted a score.
